Grants Manager
Reporting to: Programme Manager
Contract: 12 months (renewable)
Working Hours: 40 / week
Location: Tunis with frequent travel to the 20 governorates aside of greater Tunis
ABOUT US:
I WATCH is a Tunisian watchdog organisation created after the revolution in 2011. I WATCH works mainly on two axes: transparency and corruption. I WATCH has been the official chapter of Transparency International in Tunisia since September 2019. I WATCH is made up of like-minded young professionals and motivated volunteers who, through their innovative work, are determined to tackle the problem of corruption and lack of transparency in both public and private sectors.
ROLE SUMMARY:
He/ She will be responsible for the management of the sub-grants given to partner CSOs. He/ She be in charge of disbursing the installments of the sub-grant and the follow up on the financial reporting of our partners. In addition, He/ She will be responsible for gathering spending justifications and ensuring that money is spent in compliance with the donor’s procedures, the Tunisian legal framework, and best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for disbursing grants to I WATCH partners
- Ensure that partners’ expenses are in accordance with the laws in force
- Manage supplier regulations in accordance with I WATCH procedures
- Establish consultant contracts in accordance with I WATCH procedures
- Preparation of budget forecasts
- Maintain a database of information related to partner CSOs
- Make site visits to CSO’s Verification and classification of the supporting documents
- Coordinate with the CSO’s coordinator and the Finance team
- Conduct audit missions.
- Lead coaching missions for partner associations.
- Provide guidance and advices to the partners CSOs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- From 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in similar position
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Mastery of office tools (Word / Excel),
- Working flexible hours to engage partners in multiple regions
- Excellent inter-personal skills, and ability to maintain strong relationships
- Ability to travel across the country
- Excellent command of written and spoken French. Good command of both Arabic and English.
- Familiarity with current regulations governing associations.
- Commitment to I WATCH’s values and ways of working and to I WATCH’s objectives to promote transparency and anticorruption
